Oh my goodness! I can't even fathom going through something like this! Yeah, you deserve some coffee. On another note what is it with neighbors trampolines?!? My neighbor refuses to tack his down and it floats around. Other neighbors have completely lost theirs.
Thank goodness you made it through! This could have ended badly. I hope you feel like you had the support and connection to others as soon as it happened. It's important you shared it here too. It's helps with processing it.
Hi Shelby, thanks so much! I really appreciate your support. Looking forward to getting back on my feet and enjoying coffee outside my house again soon! Stitches out tomorrow (Christmas Eve) and I’m having my next Zoladex implant at the same appointment so a coffee will go down well with that! Have a great festive season. 😁
Wow I’m glad you survived! I think you can be both very lucky and very unlucky at the same time. Such is the dichotomy of life. I hope it doesn’t affect your summer too much. Thanks for all your words this year 💕 all the best
18 months ago, I slipped and broke a fibula just above the ankle.. while running to help my autistic 7yo who was wordlessly screaming on the trampoline. The child was fine, I was not. But it honestly didn't hurt unless I tried to walk and the only other sign of injury was a "click" as I fell.
At the 24hr surgery* they did x-ray me, and I horrified a medic by demonstrating how i could still rotate my ankle. Anyway, no surgery needed but 8 frustrating weeks in a cast followed, so I am very glad to see that you are in a moonboot!
*how sad is it that we went to the PHO option rather than A&E, because faster even if pricier, and x-ray was guaranteed because they make you pay for it.
Thanks, Sophie! Oh that sounds horrendous, poor you 😭
I’ve just spoken to a nurse at Urgent Care who confirmed on my notes that it was reviewed and no fracture. Therefore I have to stop using the moonboot!
It is so swollen and bruised, and the force of the car must have shunted my entire foot and ankle. The bruising is on the opposite side of my foot from the impact. So gross. I’m so squeamish 🤮
Delighted to hear that you received great care although no doubt at unreasonably high cost 😭

Sending you a virtual hug and a speedy recovery.

Thanks so much, I think you’re right! A little from Column A and a little from Column B! Enjoy the holidays, I hope you get a good break 😊

Hope the bruising goes down soon, and that you get a decent chance to rest in spite of the silly season!
Glad you are ok 💙💙💙
Thanks, Julie! 💕
